Minor in the College of Liberal Arts

German, Scandinavian, and Dutch Studies is an area studies major that focuses on the cultures and societies of Northern Europe, looking past national borders to cover regional issues in new ways.

It is transnational, flexible, wide-ranging, and interdisciplinary. It brings together many of the Department's current offerings, consolidating them into a major with excellent skills development in reading, research, and writing.

2016-2018 or later catalogs:
15 hours of GSD coursework, at least 9 of which must be upper-division. At least 9 of the hours must be completed in-residence.
