Basic information

Multiple hourly student position(s) available.

Start date: Immediately or August 2021; pending completion of background check

End date: Through end of fall 2021, hope to renew for spring 2022

Hours: 40 hr/wk in summer; Mon-Fri between 8-5pm, 20 hr/wk once classes start; Mon-Fri between 8am-5pm, flexible schedule options to work with most class schedules

Pay: $10.00 /hr

Position descriptions and requirements:

Two (2) positions to assist JSG Facilities with variety of hands-on tasks in campus buildings. Examples include, but are not limited to: receiving large deliveries, painting, building maintenance and repairs, assembling furniture, loading and unloading large items, assisting with installations, moving individuals in/out of offices, etc. Previous experience and/or level of comfort with hand tools and manual labor preferred but not required. Begin immediately, pending background check. Must have been enrolled full-time in spring 2021 or for fall 2021.

One (1) position to assist JSG Front Desk in providing general administrative support to student services staff. Example responsibilities include but are not limited to: scheduling student appointments, reserving meeting rooms, assisting internal and external customers over the phone, email or in person, processing forms, campus errands, picking up and delivering packages, and completing misc admin tasks upon request. Begins in August, pending background check; must be available to cover lunch hour once classes begin. Must be enrolled full-time Fall 2021.

REQUIREMENTS (for all positions):

Reliable attendance (a must) Demonstrate proactive communication with supervisor regarding schedule changes/attendance Able to work alone and with others Maintain expected level of productivity with and without direct supervision. Must be enrolled full-time at UT Austin.
